Park city is one of the few Utah towns established by non-mormons and is a commumity with an enviable portfolio of ski areas.

Deer valley has developed a reputation as one of America's most pampering ski resorts. Attendants help you unload your skis before you tackle some of the most meticuloulsy groomed slopes in the country.

Following remarks that it had 'lots of diamonds but not enough black ones', the resort changed its image by opening up tougher ski areas. There is even a trail map for experts.

Many of the trails in Park City Mountain Resort echo the old mining days; Silver Cliff, The Hoist, Prospector and Shaft are a few.
