An amazing 29 feet of natural snow blankets the ski area’s impressive five alpine bowls nestled in the majestic limestone cliffs of the Lizard Range in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia. You choose your level of adventure at Fernie, steep and deep or smooth and gentle, you will love the incredible variety of terrain.
Beginners:
The Mini Moose and Mighty Moose lifts are the place to start for the beginners in the group. The Deer and Elk Chair lifts access wide open daily groomed rolling slopes perfect for all ages of beginner and intermediate skiers and riders with well marked runs and return-to-base access.
Intermediates:
The runs off the Elk Chair lift are some of the best to warm up your ski legs, then try the Boomerang Chair for the easiest access to the fabulous Cedar Bowl terrain. Most of the runs in Lizard and Cedar Bowls are marked blue/intermediate, choose your favorite of the day! The high speed Timber Bowl Express and White Pass Quad take you to new heights on the mountain and more than enough exciting terrain to explore. Need to get your bearings? Meet at the base area for a complimentary Mountain Host Tour departing at 9:30 and 1:30pm daily.
Experts:

Snowboarding
On the lower mountain, when snow conditions permit, the half pipe will keep you coming back with quick access and the best in turn around time from the Deer Chair Lift. But remember, you have unlimited access to nature's greatest terrain park located on Upper Falling Star - 2500+ acres of snow covered mountain - which features the best in natural gullies, hits, rails, hip jumps, POWDER and more
